OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Nicole,
Did you hear from your son, I talked with Stephen the day they left GL and he called from the airport, they flew out of Midway, a smaller airport not so crowded, but I have not heard from him since.

here's stuff on the phases......

Comment by Jacqueline Manning 1 minute ago Ok the phase thing is EASY
When they arrive they are phase 1
They cant leave base unless in dress wgites and in buddy system, have to return to base at 10pm
It will takes about 2 weeks to reach phase 2
Phase 2 They can wear civis, they dont have to leave base in buddy system, and they dont have to be back till midnight
Phase 3 will come about 3 weeks after phase 2
Phase 3 is Civis, they can leave base for overnight liberty...Example, they can leave at 3pm on Friday and they dont have to be back till 10pm on Sunday. At Phase 3 they can have their vehicle, if they are going to be in a long school.
