For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son said that his instructor told him to tell me that I shouldn't believe everything that I read on Navyformoms.com. He said it's just a bunch of moms gossiping! LOL

In one of my letters today from my son he wrote "My day is filled with being yelled at for screwing up on stupid crap as well as others". ha ha ha
In another part of the letter he wrote "I also have lost track of the days. I know today is Friday, but not sure the day". ha ha ha

In one of my letters my recruit wrote:
"I finally got to shave, after 3 weeks I was pretty hairy" lol...
she also said "the food here makes me feel sick, but I'm getting better" I thought that was funny because it seems like all the other SR's wrote that the food was pretty good.

My SR said in his letter the food is awesome. Then when he called yesterday he told his dad he has been eating peanut better sandwiches. Guess the Navy serves awesome peanut butter sandwiches. He also said they have Sprite, chocolate chip cookies and brownies. I can see why the food is awesome.

I also have a son currently in Marine Corps boot camp. He's 6"3' and went in mid September 200 lbs. The last letter that I got he's down to 170lbs. I hope that he doesn't lose any more weight.

My SR, who is 20 years old, said he wished the younger kids would learn to listen. That cracked me up coming from the "old" 20 year old who didn't always listen while at home.

My SR wrote this . . . "Hey Dad, remember when you told me you were excited for my first letter? You said I'd either say 'What did I get myself into?' or 'I'm kicking butt!' Well guess what? Not only am I kicking butt, but I'm taking plenty of names!" I gotta love my girl . . . she's got attitude. :O)

Geesh . . . I've had this song stuck in my head, and have been humming and whistling it all day long. My co-workers think I'm crazy. :O)
They knew I had received a letter from my SR as soon as I walked in the door this morning because I was in such a good mood. Nearly all my co-workers are x-military (mostly Marines), so they've been helping me understand boot camp.
