Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

They have either already received their form letter with the info or have called their recruits recruiter for the information. The recruiter does not have the PIR date but may have the mailing address which has the ship/div in it. Then they are "guestamating"the PIR date. Boot Camp lasts from 7.5 to 9 weeks.

Peggy, have you recieved the letter that tells you when her PIR is going to be?? If not, have talked to her recruiter to see what ship # and division # she is? That'a a start--I recieved the letter today and on it had when his PIR date was...I was hoping that it would have been Nov 23rd but i will take Dec 2....Hope this helps...if not email me back and I will see what else I can do to help you...good luck...

I called my daughter's recruiter & got her address, which gave me her ship & division. There will also be groups for each ship & division that you can join to talk to the other moms in that division as well as the entire PIR group. When you get the form letter it will the address, PIR dates & some information that you will need to get onto RTC the day of PIR, the is only a small space for them to write a short note & they only gave them a short amount of time the day they got there to write something so don't be suprised if it is short & sweet. As far as letters home, they only get time on Sunday to write & they will mail them out Monday mornings.
I went through this last year when my son went thorough bc & it is all still pretty fresh in my mind so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. If there is something I don't know I will find out.

Hi to all the Mom's who responded to my inquiry. Thank you for sharing. I have put a call into my recruiter. Thought I was losing my mind...clicking around all over for this info. Received "the box" yesterday. Didn't get freaked or bummed out all. I thought I might "wig" out, but didn't. Actually, I smiled from ear to ear and felt all warm inside. I think my chest popped out about 2 sizes from pure pride. Inside, of course, was all her stuff. When I saw her white tennies with the "lime green" shoelaces (lime green is her signature color), again I just smiled and was "yep, that's my girl"!!
To all my fellow Mom's out there, thank you for taking such good care of me. I do alot of computer work at my job so I never thought I would be one to hang out on a computer after hours. But I love "Navy for Moms" and all my support groups. Can't wait to get home and log on to visit with all of you. I would probably be a "basket case" without you. Hugs to you all....
