Anyone has a son/daughter in this Division?  My son will graduate 12/02/2011 (estimated, I guess - we haven't gotten the formal letter yet).  I'm so excited for him!  And proud beyond belief!!!  If you reply, please let me know where you live (at least the state) - I live in Texas (deep East Texas, close to Louisiana border).

Everybody hang in there!  I know there is still lots of time left before we see our kiddos -- but they are going to be in such good shape (both physically and mentally).  Their self-esteem is going to be great!  We need to be strong for them!

So good to know they came together as a team and made things right.  They're gonna do great with Battle Stations!!  :O)

Debi: Thanks for posting all the info....so if their mail was taken away last week, we may not get mail from them this week.  At least we'll know why???? Sounds like they are doing better, last I heard from my daughter they had only won the academic flag, so they've won several others.  That's good news.

No - since they send mail on Sunday's I think that they still got to send it out...I could be wrong but that's how I understood it....just that their mail was going to be held from them...but then they've already got it back, it wasn't for the full week.

I don't agree with it, but it's how they get them to work and act together.  When they start thinking about each other and how what they do as a single act, they realize one person messing up can hurt an entire operation, which out on a ship could be huge.  So its a way they have to make them see the impact one person can have on the team.  The good news is...they must have learned because they got their mail back within a couple of days instead of the week that was originally promised.  Its a tough lesson, but I guess a necessary one.

Peggy - not at all - Love hearing from you and most definitely look forward to meeting you!!!  Going to find my order form and call over there now to order!  Thank you for that piece of info :)

Thank you very much for all the info!!!, I just received one phone call from my SR since he is there, anyone received more tha one? Hope we can get their mail tomorrow, also I will like to know  how we can get those pictures from the PIR's.

Thank you very much for be in touch, helps a lot to know how they are doing.

I have had only one phone call too.

I don't understand the pictures on their flags that you all are talking about?  What is that?  Does each division have a flag that they design?

Sorry if this seems like an odd question.

Not an odd question at all :)  Each division designs their own flag.  I'm pretty sure there are guidelines, but what they are?  NO idea :)  Anyway, they draw it up and it is sent out to be made into a flag and becomes their flag.  Each division, with the exception of ours, because we are a performing division already, designates a "stick" or a flag carrier who will carry their division flag into the drill hall on Grad day.  Additional, a picture of each divisions flag is sent out to a Tshirt company (I'll post the order form here and on FB in a separate comment) that makes Division Tshirts and those shirts have each divisions designed flag on them!

I misspoke - our division MAY have someone that carries their division flag, since its likely that not ALL members are performing or something.  I would think that some will march in, BUT, I do not know for sure...this is just me guessing here!!!

I just called in my order. They were SO nice. She said she is proud of us, there have been more orders for 903 shirts than she has EVER seen!!  She also requests that we place orders on line, she can't keep up with all our calls.  She said she's proud of our group.  She had me crying!!
