We received the form letter Saturday, Oct 15. Hopefully a phone call soon!

Hi Navy Mom!  I am eager for a phone call soon too.  I hope they got "holiday" time and got to write on Sunday. At this point I am desperate for any news!

Deanna

Nothing in my mail box today:(
I am stalking my mailbox today! LOL I am really not worried about my SR.  I just HATE not being in contact.

Can't believe there are no other 09/013 moms on here. I am totally expecting a phone call on Sunday. A letter would also be nice. I mailed 10 letter I was stock piling on Saturday but then realized my SR could be punished with sit ups or something for too much mail in a day. I feel so bad now.

I've sent 8 letters so far including one today.  I did not mail them all off at the same time but one everyday since I got my SR's address and I'm thinking they will be "saved up" until they are allowed to get mail.  I sure hope they don't get extra PT for being loved.  Seems kinda harsh!

Hi! My son is in this div. also. I live about 3 hrs from the training center and am so looking forward to being able to go there on Thanksgiving and PIR! Can't wait!! We have gotten "the box", and the form letter but nothing else....I too am stalking my mail carrier, and not so patiently awaiting a phone call.

Hi TLC! Wow! You are so lucky to live close enough to drive over for Thanksgiving. We live about 10 hrs away and it is just not going to be possible to go for Thanksgiving. Can't wait for PIR!!! Still stalking and waiting for the 1st letter and phone call.  What is your SR's rate? My son in going into the Nuke program and will go on to A school in SC.
He's going to Mississippi for construction. I am so glad he chose Navy!(but I might be a bit selfish!) since it is actually close enough that we can go there. I was actually in the middle of a restaurant when I checked my facebook and saw the notification for the Thanksgiving visit!!!! All I could do was go OMG OMG OMG!!!! Now just waiting on the paperwork for that. And did I mention I'm stalking my mail carrier!! LOL
I'm stalking mine, too!  Maybe you can drive down South for a visit while he's in A school. We live in Alabama and the weather is pretty mild in the winter. I'm sure I will freeze at PIR and I know it gets much colder later in Jan/Feb but I will not let the cold stop me from coming!!
Got letter today whoohoo!!!!!!! He said they only get to write on Sunday. He invited his bunkmate for thanksgiving so if ya know a mom from Texas with a son Zachary we got him for that day!

I hope we get a letter today or tomorrow. We can't make it for Thanksgiving either due to distance. It is so nice that you will be able to take his bunkmate out for dinner as well. My SR's birthday is in a week and a half and this will be a hard one for me since he won't be home. Did your son happen to say when they might be able to call home?
