I am so happy for you with the letter! It's great to hear that he is doing so well, Thank you for sharing :)

Only 20 days ladies!!! In exactly 3 weeks we will be with our Sailors! :)

Question what exactly is the peanut butter shot and what is it for?

It's a really thick shot that has a mixture of things including penicillin. I'm not sure what all it has in it, but my husband said that it really is as thick as peanut butter.

I just got a letter as well! He sounds so much better! He passed his PFA as well and got 5.0 on 2 inspections they had on Tuesday. Becky he said that he kinda hangs out with your SR and they both had their wisdom teeth out together. He got his first stitches because they had to cut and break out his bottom two. He said that they were going to do the shooting simulator and then live fire the next -- I am thinking that would have been Wed & Thurs. I am excited to hear how that went. He did say that he knew most of the SRs that I listed but I can't remember exactly which I listed. I am so happy that he sounds much more chipper this week! I hope everyone else is getting letters today as well!!!

It really does a heart good to read that they are doing well doesn't it!!

Yes it does! I know they will pull together -- I think it will be this week if most of them have passed their PFA. That takes alot of the stress off of them which will change moods!! I know it took stress off of me just knowing that he passed and was feeling better about himself!! I felt kinda crabby all week- not so much now. I am on cloud 9!!!

I know what you mean, I've been in a sort of funk all week myself.  Even the people I work with have noticed it & they are all men!  I am so proud of both of my kids. My son went through bc last year & PIR'd 8/13/2010, he is now a submariner & will leave for his 2nd deployment soon.  Now my daughter will PIR in 19 days, my heart is so full of pride it may burst!!

Your children are doing a amazing thing, It takes a special person to do what they do.

Just received a letter & 2 questionnaires from my daughter. :)
She had her 2nd PFA on Tuesday & PASSED everything!!! She will not have to do the 3rd PFA. She has received her uniforms & is going to ask if she has to wear her BCG's in her picture. She thinks I'm the best mom ever & that my letters keep her going, she knows that I'm writing her everyday & receives something in mail call every day. She ordered shirts for everyone except her brother & wants me to order one for him & wants more pictures. She said that she is confident most of the time, but does have some down hours & when that happens her bunk mate (last name starts with F) cheers her up. She said that her division (015) is not working as a team & couldn't put stamps on an envelope without fighting, but is sure they will pull it together in time for BS21.

Only 19 days left ladies!!!!

I am so happy that your SR is doing great! It makes me so sad that 015 are not getting along and working together. I will have to pray a little harder so they can come together for BS21. Thank you for sharing.

Your welcome Kimmy.  They will pull it together in time, you know how girls can be.  I know of 2 girls in the division, my daughter is one, that played sports in high school, do maybe there are more & when it's "game time" they'll do what needs to be done for the win!  Did your SR play sports?
