Good Morning ladies! How is everyone this fine Tuesday morning? How many of you are going to brave the crowds on Black Friday? I'm one of the crazies that is up and out around 12am. haha. I love it. Though this will be the first year when my daughter won't be with me:(. Sorry haven't been on much lately, I've been extremely busy. Seems like always something else to do.
Good morning! I am good! Just printed my boarding passes and checked in for my flight tomorrow to go to NJ to join my husband and spend Thanksgiving with my step daughter, son in law and 2 grandbabies. My husband arrived there on Sunday and myself and my younger son will be leaving heading up there tomorrow morning. We all come back home on Sunday and then only a few short days after that we will be boarding another plane headed to PIR!!! I've never been Black Friday shopping. I love my sleep more than I want to fight the crowds to save a few $$..LOL!
Oh I also wanted to share, I stopped by to see my daughters' recruiter yesterday. I asked him about the rumor going on about dress blues and he says he has never heard of such a thing. So hoping he is right! Also received another letter from my SR and she said for Thanksgiving they are wearing their NSU's, is that the Khakis? Just curious.
I believe it is the Khakis. I know the blue digies are called NWU's.
It should be the khakis. There are too many acronyms to remember! I am in the Army Reserves, and I keep calling the RDCs Drill Sergeants. I can't keep up with it all!
I can't wait until Dec 2nd!
Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you all had a wonderful day. I got to talk to my SR today several times & I got an email from my submariner son who is at sea.
My SR said that they have won every flag for their division & are a Battle E division. They do pull it together when necessary & their RDC calls them a "game day divsion". They have Captains Cup tomorrow & she feels that they will take that flag also.
It has been a day to truly be Thankful!!!
Div 15 Moms, get ready, your phone calls are coming. We have Sailors!!!! Just got off the phone with my son who sounded very tired but very happy.
Yes - my son said he was so tired, that while he was eating, he fell asleep!
