OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Okay...this is silly and COMPLETELY off topic but I have been looking for a weather widget from the National Weather Service. The one we have above is not directly from them, but the forecast is!

Yeah...the small stuff makes me happy!

If you click the green "NWS" part of "Forecast by NWS" it will take you to the NWS site. Then just type in 60088 - Great Lakes Zip Code and you will get a ten day weather.

How soon after they get to BC will they be able to send letters home? I really want to hear from my SR.

It's okay, it's supposed to on there but he will still get his mail. I doubt it will delay it at all. And now you know how to do it so it's all good :-)

This may be a dumb question and I do not know how particular it is suppose to be but I been writing letters without putting the SR before his name.  I just noticed that part today when I wrote my SR a letter and added it.  Does anyone know?  Sorry I'm probably just being "nit picky".

@ Diannep--when he emails me the information-can i post in under discussion for others to see his prices and things?  Don't want to do something I am not suppost to do.  thanks

@ diannep---yes I am... He is going to send me an email and asked me to post it on my PIR page.  I told him it was no prob.  He seemed so nice on the phone.  All I see on the website is good things about him and his service.  Look forward to doing bussiness with him.  He told me he would personally pick us up.

Anyone looking for transportation.  Here's Sarge's number:

847-212-0246

I would put it in your phone just in case.  He is wonderful for any needs you have over PIR weekend.  Has received nothing but rave reviews on this site!

Comment by diannep on October 18, 2011 at 7:54pm
Cubmom:  Are you using "Sarge" or one of his crew for transportation?  His rates are really good...retired military.  Caters to the Navy families.

@ Peggy---that is where we are staying.  I am going to bring my laptop also.  We are staing Wednesday thru Monday--I like that i can cancell the reservations even that day and not get charged--they understand the military life sounds like.  We are going to do a little site seeing (my husband and I) so, we are going a few days before and staying a few days afterwards.  I wanted to be sure to be there in time and wanted to be there if he didn't ship out till Monday.  Prob not going to happen but, a mom can wish...  Maybe we can get together at the Hotel--would like to meet up and get to know you.  Wish you guys were coming in on Wednesday we could share the cab fee.  I have the information if you want it.  Great price and knows what's going on --he will pick us up at airport and they day of PIR( to PIR is free --gift to Salior) then, $3.00 per person for ride back to hotel...
