Got a call from Great Lakes this morning & my heart skipped, but it was a corpman telling me that he was with my daughter & wanting to make sure she wasn't allergic to pennicillin.   UUGGH!!!!! She was sitting right there beside him & I couldn't talk to her, of course I didn't ask to speak to her because I knew she would get in trouble if I did & he didn't offer to let me speak to her.  :(

Changed my screen name.  Took the advice of dianep and fireteamleaderwife.  Don't want to call undo attention to my girl.  Thanks dianep and fireteamleaderwife.

OOOPS!  I see where FTLW had explained all of this already.  Sorry for the duplication...I have little time right now to be on here so can't always read all of the previous posts thoroughly.  But now you know how important it is to keep SRs' names off of here! :-)  Thanks, FTLW!
Comment by diannep on October 13, 2011 at 8:09am

My2Sailors' advice is right on.  Please do not use your SR's first name on here...allowed but not recommended for identity purposes.  RDCs do read these pages.  Remember, this group is support for you all, not to give your SR any added pressure.  So referring to your SR as my son, my daughter, my wife, my husband, etc...is much better.  Please check screen names too...don't use names in there either.  Last names are always forbidden on this site.

Also, if you hear from your SR and they have some special buddies there, and you want to know if the moms are on here, please post that you have info and add info like "anyone have a SR from (place) in division (number)?"  Then if that person posts back, you can private message that person to see if that it the one.  You can also check the pages of the ladies that post from that division and see what city they are from, then private message them if you think that is the one.  We just need to make this site as anonymous as possible for the sake of the SRs!

Good Morning!

This group is quickly moving right along. It won't be long until more member join your group as those form letters begin to arrive. I know this part is very hard but it will get better soon. Write letters every day if you can and ask any questions you have on this page. We are all here to help.
Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on October 13, 2011 at 3:17am
That's okay...sorry cubmom...we really only need one discussion for each division.
Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on October 13, 2011 at 12:22am

Okay...right now we have these reports of the current divisions.

009,...012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 803, 903. That's eight reporting in (though I know we don't have all the form letters arriving yet)...there will be a 010 and 011, and an 802 (as the last PIR group had 801) bringing this group up to 11 Divisions. There could be more...As soon as someone gets a form letter that is in 016 with the PIR date can you please post it on the main page here?

(800 divisions are SPECOPS)

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on October 13, 2011 at 12:16am
Ummm...I am not trying to be a pill...but we only need one discussion forum per division...it keeps the hopping around and , "where did I post that's" down.LOL. There is two for 009...could we delete the most current one? I don't think it has any replies to it yet. I can do it but prefer the creator of the discussion too.

Tank's Mom - You are welcome! We are happy to help out on the PIR groups!

Did you get the other weather widget link I found? I'll repost it.

Here is another weather widget. It doesn't do Great Lakes...but it does do Chicago. The scenery changes with the weather.
