Sara Ship 07 Div 012 - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I've not been on here for a few weeks and just saw your post. My prayers are with you and your family.
Maja.. I feel the same way.. My Sailor heads back to Groton, CT tomorrow.. Today is my birthday and our last day with him for probably a year so I am going to make sure I enjoy every second..
It's New Year's Eve and my sailor flew out the door on her way to dinner/partying with friends. I'm at home doing her laundry so she can finish packing. She returns to her base on January 2. Just when things begin to feel normal...my world gets turn upside down again. Doesn't know when she might have a chance to take leave again. "A" school will keep her busy. Plus, the fact we can talk, text, email, skype etc should make things more bearable.
Thank you to everyone in this group for sharing your journey with your Sailor with me. You have been a gift to me since October. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
To My Navy Family... I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...
I'll be leaving you now also...not going to post my "whole thing" (can't remember if I already did...sorry) as you all are doing great...but I caught it on some past PIR groups...please remember that OPSEC and N4M Community Guidelines always stand. Thank you all!
God Bless you and your families! Merry Christmas and Blessed futures for your Sailors careers!
FTLW
Sara... I am so sorry I didn't mention anything about the loss of your father in-law.. Your family will be in my prayers... What a mixed bag of emotions you are going through right now... Just know I am here for you...
I know what you mean. I worked most of the day yesterday before my son's flight got in. We texted and talked on the phone quite a bit while he was waiting on flights, so it went a little faster than it would have if we hadn't been.
Sara I am so excited.. I am one very happy Navy Mom... My son will be home in 7 hours... It is going to be so hard to go to work for 4 hours this morning before my husband and I go get him...
My son will be home in less than 2 hours. I haven't seen him since October 4th. I am so excited even if it is a sad occasion that he is coming home for!
