Oh my gosh! Another mom posted this on Boot Camp Moms! flbradybunch creator of 11/18/2011 THANK YOU!
It's a news story of some of the recruits on Thanksgiving day who were adopted by a veterns of a foreign legion post.
This video does have last names in it...so please do not post exactly who you see...just that you saw your recruit if you do!
Enjoy...made me cry!
ANNOUNCEMENT FROM RTC: Congratulations to this week's Captain's Cup winners! Taking top honors for the all-male divisions was Div. 802, and taking top honors for the integrated divisions was Div. 903. Captain's Cup is a fun, friendly athletic event between divisions that are scheduled to graduate the following week. Events include basketball, volleyball, tug-of-war, relay races and more.
I got to talk to my SAILOR most of the afternoon yesterday. The civic group that adopted him had extra cell phones and they could use them as often, as long as they wanted :) and then my SR was calling too, his time was more limited so I was bouncing between calls. Never thought that would be a problem, LOL it was a huge blessing to hear there voices and the love they have, they sure appreciate home when they are so far away for so long...ONLY 6days 11hours till we see SAILOR son PIR and then 12/16 for my other son!! What an exciting December :)
HUGS TO ALL

Pentwater, Great News! I am counting down the hours and minutes too! Can't wait!
Pentwater: That is so great! What a wonderful call that must have been between your f-in-law and your son. I know there was pride going in both directions between them! Another bond created. So glad that this gave you some comfort in missing the call. And, yes, it won't be long now before you are face to face with him! HOOYAH!
Good morning , all!
Good Morning my Navy Family... Happy Black Friday to All... I just got off the phone with my mother in-law. She said that my father in-law was talking about the talk he had with my Sailor yesterday and how Proud of him he is.. That made me so happy.. I am ok with missing the call now... Hearing the Pride in her voice and how much it must to them to get to talk to him make it all worth it.. My father in-law was in the Navy too and my Sailor is their first grandson so I know it make his day to get to talk to him.. Plus I only have 6 days 9 hours 7 minutes 4 seconds until I get to see him.. So I am all better now..
I was able to talk to my son 3 times and he texted me a pic that someone took of him on their cell phone!! What a blessed Thanksgiving it was!!! Only 7 more days to PIR!!! woo hoo!!!
Best Thanksgiving! Thanks to all the organizations that took in our SRs for the day! I got to talk to mine 4 times and saw 5 pictures of him on the church's website and one very nice lady sent me an email picture of just him!
