Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". Comment by My2Sailors on November 20, 2011 at 8:30pm: Kristie, the address is Ship 09/Div 015, 3415 Sailor Drive. Sorry she didn't give me 1st names, but I'm praying that they will get to the SR's that need them. I've gotten cards for everyone of them in the mail already!

Comment by sdees3 on November 20, 2011 at 7:00pm: Peggy - since we will be out of town for Thanksgiving and PIR we have no family in KC to pick up our mail so I put it on delivery hold thru the post office online.

Received a letter from my SR yesterday. The excitement in her letters grows with each letter as the light at the end of the tunnel grows closer and brighter. Passed her 2nd written exam. Has her 3rd PFA coming up plus firefighting. Said there are many other events going on but doesn't think they'll be a problem. Nice to hear that the days go by really fast for the SR's. Going by pretty quickly for us too! HOO YAH!
