Finally . . .finally got my scarf ordered. I've tried several times but it wouldn't take my credit cards. I would get an error that said "Approved", but it wouldnt' make the order. Finally had to call it in, but should get it in 3-5 business days. Can't wait!!
Good morning Ladies. There are only 15 more days till our SR's PIR and I find that as each of these days comes and goes, I get more and more emotional. I saw the picture of the doors at PIR where it shows only the feet of the sailors as the doors go up and I starting crying. It will truly be an awesome sight to behold. We have come a long way on this journey together these past few weeks, and I hope that the friendships made here will last past PIR. I am so looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can at PIR and the M&G's. You ladies will never know what the support that I have received here has meant to me.
Helllooo mamawalrus! Thank you for joining the group!
I know you are all getting close to PIR, but if anyone has questions regarding the Corpsman program, send me a message or post it here and I can help you out in that area. My son started in the 800's and went to Pre-Buds and changed his mind before heading to San Diego. So I can answer some Spec Op questions as well if you are have any questions.
I think so too Betsy, I know I would be so excited to see a bunch of our Navy moms on good Morning America :-)
I hope everyone had a great day. It was a crazy day for me, I had to sub in a 1st grade class, so many teacher around here are sick that I was called by 5 schools wanting me to work today. Then this evening my husband and I had date night YAY, we went to a fundraiser concert for the local Children's hospital and saw Casey James, Josh Thompson, Lee Brice, Thompson Square, Sunny Sweenie, and Kellie Pickler. It was awesome. Lee brice has a new song getting ready to be released that is military based. It is called "I drive your truck". It was so good and brought tears to my eyes. So be watching and listening for that one. Then when we were on our way home we got a call that the police were at our house. A drunk driver took out our mail box and 4 others and did some property damage and then landed on the neighbors porch. We are just thankful that everyone was okay. What a day...
Maja: So sorry...and I hear ya. It doesn't matter how old they are, it hurts so badly to lose them. They are truly "angels dressed in fur!"
@ DisneyDebi (02/903) - I think that's a wonderful idea.
@ Pentwater - so sorry to hear about Odie. Will keep him and you in my prayers and hope that everything turns out well. It really is quite something how these "critters" become such a part of our lives. I'm not a dog person but I am a cat person. I remember when I lost my "Grady" -- a beautfiul Russian Blue. Gray from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail and big green eyes. He was my "baby". I was so upset when the angels came for him...my family sent me flowers and sympathy cards!
Love the picture ideas everyone - and while it might be difficult at best to have a group photo w/ our Sailors, since we'll all be there before PIR - I think we should at least try to get a PIR group photo of all the N4M's and maybe division photo's of the N4M's - what do you think? Doable? There are 121 members of this group - and we'll have family around who can take the one big picture? Would love to hear some feedback - will also be posting this on the N4M PIR 12/02/2011 on Facebook - if you aren't part of that group - would love to have you join it :)
Peggy, Where are you going to read about the Ninja and Sharks?
