Good Mornng My Navy Family... Thanks for your post FireTeamLeaderWife it is nice to know where my SR is... If you want a very, very good book to read get Honor, Courage, Commitment by J.E.Leahy. He writes about Navy Boot Camp was there with a division from day one to PIR. My husband just finished it now I am going to start reading it.

This is a tribute to the Armed Forces by the WVU marching band a couple of months ago.  I thought the submarine moms would especially enjoy this.

Here's something interesting to add to your post Gabe's mom.

There are three Camps that make up RTC.

Camp John Paul Jones in the upper left there (USS Arizona area).

Then Camp Porter(left) and Camp Moffet(right) on the bottom are seperated by Buckley Road.

There is a tunnel that goes under Buckley Road. Tradition is that when marching through the tunnel...Going to Camp Porter from Camp Moffet the recruits will sing the 1st verse of Anchors Aweigh. Going to Camp Moffet from Camp Porter they sing the 2nd verse of Anchors Aweigh.

Just received a letter & 2 questionnaires from my daughter. :)
She had her 2nd PFA on Tuesday & PASSED everything!!! She will not have to do the 3rd PFA. She has received her uniforms & is going to ask if she has to wear her BCG's in her picture. She thinks I'm the best mom ever & that my letters keep her going, she knows that I'm writing her everyday & receives something in mail call every day. She ordered shirts for everyone except her brother & wants me to order one for him & wants more pictures. She said that she is confident most of the time, but does have some down hours & when that happens her bunk mate (last name starts with F) cheers her up. She said that her division (015) is not working as a team & couldn't put stamps on an envelope without fighting, but is sure they will pull it together in time for BS21.

Only 19 days left ladies!!!!

Sorry Diannep, I was just excited about the letter.  I deleted it , but will repost it without the dates.

The geese ARE big!...and they eat "all the livelong day!"

Just a reminder, ladies.  We cannot post BattleStations dates on this board....against OPSEC.  We used to be able to post schedules but RTC and N4Moms have asked us not to.  But--- thanks for the date for 015/016.  I have now started the schedule for this group!  You need to delete your post now though...before you do, why not type it again without the date because it is a great post!  Thanks!

Everyone, please private message me BattleStations dates as you get them from your SRs.  I will put together the schedule and Message to Group it out to you.  Thanks! You can post on here that you have a BattleStations date for Div ??? and others can private message you for it.  We can do that, just can't post it publicly on the boards.

@ My2Sailors - Your SR's comment that her Division couldn't put stamps on an envelope w/out fighting made smile and laugh.  In fact, I enjoyed it so much I shared it with my hubby!  During my phone conversation w/my SR yesterday, she said geese in the area are as big as antelope!  Can't wait to see her.  Can't wait to see all of you.

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on November 12, 2011 at 6:15pm

My2Sailors, she will find out that she will not have to wear her glasses in the picture.  That is a very sweet letter.  It's very hard for them to work together, which a lot of the SR's complain about in their letters, but you will be amazed at how well they do it by PIR.  :)

M2S . . . it's odd, but I think being apart has made my SR and us (her family) closer.  It feels so good when they tell us how much they love and miss us, and they they think we're the best ever.  I bet that made you feel so good.  :O)
