Sigh....well tell her it happens in every group....no matter how hard people try, there is likely to be a time a phone call is missed.  She can write an extra special letter to her sister which will mean the world to her, I bet.  :-)

Dianne...I actually did call her the night before and tell her that she might get a call in the morning. And she thought she still forgot...lol. and she feels horrible

splash!  Oh no!  Ok, last phone call of the night should be to your older daughter each night to charge her phone overnight!  HA!  Hope that your SR gets to call back soon.  Happy Birthday to her!

We heard from our SR on Wednesday to let us know he didn't call the previous Saturday because his wisdom teeth were removed on Friday. He said all calls now have to be earned...haven't heard more this weekend. Have a blessed Sunday!

Good morning everyone. Today is my SR's 19th Birthday and the first one she has not celebrated with her twin brother. Not sure how she is feeling but he said he feels funny (his words).

Happy Birthday to my Girl! We miss you!

conavymom:  He will meet with a Classifier during Bootcamp and be able to review the jobs he is qualified for and their availability right now (some could be overmanned already and not open to him).  If that doesn't work for him, he probably will be Undesignated....meaning....he trains for about 4 weeks after Bootcamp, has Leave, then is assigned to a ship.  He would work different jobs on the ship in the hope that he will find something he likes and eventually go to A School for that job.  He should know his status before PIR.

This is quite common....some entered with a job, but found during Bootcamp that is was "overmanned" and they now have to find something else.  Just know that many who end up in jobs they didn't want actually find they like them!  So don't give up hope!
