Kimberly.  You are welcome.

The brother divisions are on the same day (your brother division is 038)....they are all within a few days of each other in training.  Your division/brother division are the last in this PIR group so the last to go through BattleStations and become sailors.  Although it is possible that 035/036 are also on 2-1, the other divisions would be further along than that.  Some should be on 2-3 or 2-4 today.

what week/day are they on....

GeekGoddess:  Your SR's division is one of the last in this PIR group so they were probably the last to mail out the form letters.

Comment by diannep on October 28, 2014 at 12:03pm

Kimberly:  My son is with USAA, which is military-oriented insurance.  He has been with them since 2011 and has been very happy with them!  And, yes, he received better rates with them than he did with his other agency.

On not receiving a form letter.  There could be a number of reasons:

Only one is sent out....could someone else have received it?

Depends on mail service, what part of the country you live in, and when each division mails out their form letters.   We have seen some of the form letters actually take close to 3 weeks to be received.  The important part of that form letter is the password (and of course, ship/division numbers/address--but recruiters have this too).  The password written in by your SR is what you will use to download a gate pass for PIR within 11 days of PIR if you plan to drive on base (you can park off base at the train station or take one of the shuttles (taxis operating as shuttles that morning for most hotels.) and not need the gate pass.  If you don't receive the letter, ask you SR for the password....they write it in so should remember it.

I got his box earlier as well. He did say he has to retake the swim test. I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it.

No problem, it's my boyfriend. He didn't give me his recruiters information. I did get my first handwritten letter and phone call from him on Saturday and he said he sent the form letter to me.

Good morning. Is there anyone else who hasn't received the form letter? I'm getting a little worried. My SR is Ship 04 DIV 037.

Good Morning!

I do wonder if the Gate on Camp Moffet is 24 hours? That is across Buckley Road and is where the Recruits first arrive for In-Processing. It has housing (USS Pearl Harbor) as well as the Medical/Dental, Uniform Issue and well, some other "stuff". LOL

RTC consists of Three Camps: Camp Moffat, Camp Porter and Camp John Paul Jones:

The recruit training base in Great Lakes consist of 3 separate properties, Camp Porter, Camp John Paul Jones and Camp Moffett. (See the box to the bottom right of the Map for an explanation of Camp Porter and Camp Moffets locations) Camp John Paul Jones is located at the top of the Map where you see most of the Ships listed.

~ Camp Moffett is the main in-processing area. This is where the recruits will arrive.

~ Camp Porter is the main recruit training area where most of the training is taken place.

~ Capt John Paul Jones is mainly for housing of the recruits. (Courtesy NavyDEP.com)

Here is a Map:

Just click either picture and it will open into a new page...then you can zoom in.

The top of the map is West.

At the top where it has a Parking Lot and says Graduation - that is incorrect.  That is where they used to have you park for PIR and you had to walk all the way across the Base. (It's a hump.)There is a Parking Structure adjacent to the Visitors Center for PIR. You'll see it at the bottom Center of the Map. Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall-Purple and VC (USS YORKTOWN) - Green, all the black lines next to it is a mostly covered two story Parking Structure. There is a small overflow that is not covered.

Okay enough with my "thinking out loud" and blibber-babbling.

Your Welcome!

And no, it doesn't :-) Being former military I can see why the question would pop into your head though. Most bases have a 24 hour Gate.
