Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I stole this idea from PIR 12/22/10 because I thought it was a good idea :)

List where your child/husband/bf/gf will attend A school and what their rate (job) will be. Spell it out so some of us that aren't up on all of the Navy lingo will understand what it stands for. E.g. - IT is Information Systems Technology.

Remember to only list your loved ones initials, not their full name for security reasons.

What a coincidence my son is on the same boat (ship lol). He is also going to Pensacola and I think he is the exact same rate. And they are both from NM. This is so wild. I wonder they know each other because if they don't maybe they should. Are you bringing your boy home for Christmas? Maybe we can plan for them to fly from Alb to Pensacola together and share a cab or something to get to base. Let me know....
