Yeah ours does not sound too good either... Will be interesting though.
My boyfriend actually designed the flag and they all really loved it. His was chosen out of all the recruits in their division. So, not to be rude, but could you please keep negative opinions to private messages. I respect your opinion but I do feel it's a bit disrespectful to the recruit and everyone else who chose it. If anything it did upset me, a loved one of that recruit. I'm sure that you and Betsy have different tastes than my 21 year old recruit and both meant no disrespect.
actually I thought the design was okay. Have not seen it. I thought the story behind the design was funny. It was Betsy's t-shirt which she was offended by not the one for div 022. I think no matter what the deign is we have to remember it is a military deisgn and it is going to be totally different than what a civilian would find appealing. As for hurting your feelings I am truly sorry - no offense was meant by it. I am glad you are posting as I did not know any other here other than Susan who was in Div 022. Also in your defense I would be honored if my recruit was chosen to design somthing, just like you are. SO thank you for speaking up.
Thank you. :) I figured it was in no harm. What were the chances of someone knowing the recruit who designed the flag reading this thread anyways? haha :D

Any flag that they march behind, my boyfriend's design or anyone else's, I'll still be proud and screaming like a mad woman come graduation day when that flag comes out. It only means the division is a few feet away!!! XD
:) Well said!! :)
Amen!
waving _girl - I should have clarified when I said that Betsy ordered a shirt. Her son is in a different division and they had a totally different shirt than Div 022. I'm sure the design of our shirt is great and I did not mean it as disrespectful and I'm sorry that you took it that way. My son told me that he liked the design very much and I have been hoping that he ordered a shirt for himself. I'm sure you are proud that he designed it as well you should be. Again, I'm sorry that you were upset by what was said. None of it was directed to our divisions design. Susan
I am much relieved to hear that. :) I was unsure of posting anything 'cause I didn't want it to come off the wrong way or make anyone feel bad. I am so very glad this was clarified. ^_^

Also I am relieved that my boyfriend didn't design a flag that would have mothers cringing. Not that the other divisions flag isn't something I would have been proud of, 'cause I would have, but that didn't sound like something my boyfriend would draw. He's a pretty happy-go-lucky and nerdy fellow.

If I remember correctly he got the idea for the division's flag off a shield he saw awhile ago. Other than that I don't know what it looks like.
Waving Girl - It sounded pretty cool from what my son said. Hopefully he ordered one. Have you heard from your BF when their Battlestations will be? Also, do you know if they have won any flags? Have a great day! Susan
He wrote battlestations will be Monday the 13th. :) Haven't heard anything about winning flags. He also wrote that this week is learning firefighting skills and they only have one more physical fitness assessment and personnel/dynamic material inspection before Monday. Then its the cap ceremony and getting ready for grad. :D Sounds like they are finally seeing the end in sight. :)
OK Thanks Waving Girl! You are the only one that has heard what date BS's are. have a great day! Susan
Hi Dot's mom! I too have not heard from CJ. Are you planning on going to PIR? When will you be arriving and where are you staying? I have reservations at the super 8. We are hoping to be there between 4 pm - 5pm depending on weather. We are driving from SOuth Dakota. If I need to leave earlier in the am I will. But right now we are planning on leaving about 6am on the 16th. See you soon!
