Hi, I look forward to sharing this journey with you in Division 024. K
Hello, I'm already counting down the days until my boyfriend's PIR date! Maybe I will see you there (:
Did anyone else get a phone call from their recruit today in div 024?
Really, you got a phone call???? Oh, that would be great!!! Maybe he called his girlfriend - - hopefully, she'll contact us today and let us know. I had just received his box and the form letter yesterday. I am so happy to have an address to write to him.
It seems that I was the only one who recieved a call yesterday... Wonder what my kid did to get a call. He sounded excited on the voicemail so i bet he was being a good sailer recruit. He didn't mention needing to get anything from me. Since I missed the call I called the number back and talked to someone... told them my son called and I'm not sure why? he said he'd check and if it was important I'd get a call back that day. So I never got a call back.... I'm starting to believe the saying us N4M's have...No news is good news. I was also wondering if anyone knows about PIR visitors... I know they listed 4 on their form letter and I have 2 five year olds which were not listed... Do they have to be listed if they are under the age of 12? Or can they go with us four invited guests without being listed???
I know I read somewhere that 12 and under do not count as guests and I am pretty sure they wouldn't have to be listed. I am bringing his 8 year old and 4 year old younger brother and sister and I am not going to list them. I am hoping that that is okay.
I received a call home from my son ship 03 div 024 on Monday 11-1-10! He said he was allowed to call since he was cheated out of the 'first call home' since they arrived late, and he didn't have a phone card, they allowed him to call! Funny, I asked him the same thing..."Were you a good boy and got the phone call home for good behavior?" He said he was allowed to go to the store on Sunday to buy a phone card, and then allowed to call home on Monday...very brief about 30 seconds! He sounded good, and told me "he hoped to be able to write home on Sunday!" Did wonder for my spirits! I had the same question about my 12 year old son...he is not listed on his papers and things I have read...makes me think he doesn't have to be on the list to get it, but I want to know for sure!!!
Hi Cindy, I am so glad to meet you. Wow, a phone call and he sounded good. I hope that means everyone is getting settled in now. You tend to fine some kindnesses put in middle of the hardships, don't you. That was nice to let him call because he missed his first chance. I hope they are all allowed to write home on Sunday. I hope we all start hearing good news soon but I guess it is a little early for that. Have a good evening. Hugs. K
Hello KLM, Nice to meet you too!!! I write my son 2X's a day, and I hope they all make it to him by his Birthday on the 26th!! I send him the Sports page from the paper...if you keep up on the Randy Moss BS...he will be thrilled to get information on that, and should make his day!!! :).

Hugs back at ya!!

Cindy
That sounds like the what could have happened with my son also. He did not call his first night because they arrived very late or should I say early Wednesday morning. I wonder if they arrived together??
Hello! I wonder if they arrived together also! Mine left from Minneapolis, MN at around 7:30 pm MN time (suppose to leave at 2:00pm...but bad weather in MN) and landed in Chicago around 11pm Tuesday October 26th (he texted me from the plane as they landed)...but didn't arrive on base until around 12:30 - 1:00am Early Wednesday morning! I wrote and told him I joined this group here...and that I may be friends with some of his Bunk mates...so he better be nice :)!!! Oh,. wouldn't that be grand :) !!!

OK, got to run...hang in there! Hugs to all!!

Cindy (Proud Mom)
Oh, LoLo, HaHa. You scared me when I thought you had changed divisions on me. I am happy to see everyone here. I just got home from work and need to check to see how things are going. I can't wait until we can get letters and phone calls and we can ask our children and boyfriends if they know each other and how everyone is doing.

Hi Stewfam and two silva twins. Hugs to you all. K
