I hope you find these fun and informative. Jessica actually has many of them, but like she said sometimes they are hard to open. I went through many of them, gathered questions from them and tried…Continue

JaneyJohns: Lynne is right..although some familieis DO attend A School graduation, most don't...and it is nothing like PIR. But for those who cannot make it to PIR, it is the next best thing to do ...to spend time with their sailor.
Kathy: That is so wonderful of you to ask other new sailors with no family at PIR to join your family! And I have heard from ones who have done it...that it is great! I bet that will work out for you to do, even after your son leaves if GradNGo...keep us posted!
vibranttk: I was where you are now--a year ago...facing Christmas without my bc son who left right before Thanksgiving. I was facing an empty house for the first time too (older son just got his own place right before Navy son left)...it was hard...helped that he got to call on Christmas Eve day...but you do go through alot of emotions when sending a child off to bc...but it does get better! Once they are at A School and you can chat with them more (cell), SKYPE, facebook, text...there is just comfort in that for us moms! So hang in there!
You snooze you lose Ellen. LOL. Seems this group has a bunch of the same kinda minded peeps. Ut oh!! Could be dangerous. LOL ..((Group Hug))
{{{{{{{GROUP HUG}}}}}} Gina, beat me to the 'punchline'...LOL
Hey, this is what keeps us all going, ladies<3
Hiya Ladies,
I had so much work to ado and still finish but had to jump on and say hi again for the second time today... LOL, did not think I would get such a response. I will never look at my mailman the same. LOL. And by the way, Gi, I kinda figured you would be the first to respond....
Well thanks for all your comments. They will be in GL so I guess it would not hurt to take the shuttle to the base and find out if they could get in. I will make sure they have the proper id's and if not there is always time over the weekend.
Ciao, gotta run.. but you all know I will probably pop back in a few more times today...
I think we all took silly pills this morning!
We only have 2 people coming (husband and me) to PIR, so, I think everyone's right. I think there will be enough seats to go around!
I have to go shovel (AGAIN!!!) Will check back on here this afternoon. Lovely Midwest weather! Snow, then slush that freezes, then -9 degrees, then snow again! This is why I plant lots of flowers in my yard. I love to see them after going through such a bland, white, snowy, cold icky winter!
Hang in there Vibrant! Our kids are strong, because we prepared them for life. They will be fine. We have each other on N4M, and they have each other at BC. We don't feel very jolly this year either, and didn't even put up a tree, so I know how things are for you. It will be GREAT to see them in 35 days and 23 hours! Of course, we'll cry then...but they'll be tears of joy!
You ladies are a trip - and I LOVED the shrinkage comment! Oh god - yes get that image out of my head please... not my mailman - I would never be THAT desperate!!! NEVER!
