Samantha...sigh....the guys just don't get the moms' emotions during bc....most of them end up doing what your hubby did...just leave them to themselves...here on N4M's for support! Hang in there....it gets easier, it really does...in the meantime, cry when you need to and write on here when you want to! Chin up...
If anyone still wants to get ribbons to wear to PIR it is NOT too late. Just let me know or better yet send me a friend request and I will send the info back to you. They would make a great in-expensive Christmas gift as well and I can wrap them and send them to whoever you want just be sure and let me know they are for a gift and I will send them out ASAP.
I think Kathy is right...just sayin' ;)
LOL...I'm just going by what Kathy said.
Hello...bus meet Kathy, Kathy meet bus! LOL!
Hey, how do you all know this??? HUH?
Yeah....especially since they don't have mortgage payments, electric bill, gas bill, etc. to pay yet. Remember those happy paydays? LOL. They get a chunk taken out of this check because of the first trip to the NEX, but would still think that they would have plenty leftover.
"Mommy Moments" - those moments when strong woman become complete and baffling sobbing balls of fluffy when we think about our children. How many major "Mommy Moments" have you guys had.
My worst one was the day I got the form letter. Just seeing my son's handwriting on the envelope started the tears falling. Once I opened it and saw the note at the bottom, I sobbed and I mean sobbed for a long time. My husband just kept staring at me. They he shook his head and walked away to give me my space.
My other "mommy moment" was putting up the x-mas ornaments and looking at all the stuff he made for me over the young years of his life. Along with all the ornaments we had bought him for special times in his life. We have a new ornament this year - A sailor with the year and "boot camp" at the bottom.
What are you serious "Mommy Moments"?
Good Morning All,
Kathy, my son will train to be an AO (Aviation Ordenancmen) when he arrives at Pcola. And I have noticed the clock and all I have to say is WWWWOOOOOOO HHHHOOOOOOO BABY!! Half way there! LOL
Peanutsmom, don't beat yourself down on missing the call. Didn't you say at one time that she will be holding the division flag at PIR? Was that you? If so, that goes to show you she is fitting right in and doing fine!! Hang on she will get her moment and before long you will get the "I'm a SAILOR" call!! then you will look back at this moment and it won't feel that bad. right? ((HUGS)) to you and your girls.
peanutsmom: SO sorry that happened...but she will certainly understand when she hears the reason you couldn't answer. I bet she was able to talk to some of her bunkmates afterwards and calmed down...they all help each other...and they are up and down...so please try not to worry. That next call will be even more special....today is a new day for her and for you...with new beginnings!
Feel so bad I missed Amber's call on Monday night.. she called 7 times I was at school taking a final exam and had my phone on silent.. She left me 4 messages crying wanting to talk to me.. I feel sooo bad and cryed all night!! I miss her soo much and can only imagine that she feels the same way!!
