Cat-Our SR's had P Days for over 2 weeks, my son said...much longer than usual.

Processing days don't count in their actual training day count...so when they start physical training and such...they call it 1-1 or Week 1, Day 1.  My son went in an already formed division.  They all met in St. Louis, went by bus together to Great Lakes, and still were in processing for 17 days.  So all I can tell you just can't judge anything, meanwhile the final two divisions in our PIR group got there 14 days later...lol

Jessica, He arrive at BC on the 16th. Is this why it took so long to hear from him?

Comment by Cat(Mom of an AO) on December 11, 2010 at 9:36am

Thanks Dawn, Denise and Bradsfan, It does feel a lot better to hear that he was still joking in his letter. He did say it was hard but i am gald he sounds like he is adjusting.

Densie what's your take on his statement that they are almost there a month and only on week one.

Cat... I'm so excited that you got your letter.. You made my day, knowing you got your letter.. It's amazing how it feels like such a weight is gone..   I pretty sure our Sailor is going to pensicola too.   Our sailor said my daughter should be getting a call.   Just hoping it's not this morning, she is taking her ACT test for college and is unable to have her phone...But Yea to all that have gotten their letters and calls, it makes day to day "alttle" easier...  Hope everyone has a great day...

Finally! Not much info but he met a great bunch of people from all over. Said they are on week one and he has been there over three weeks. I wonder why. Said it's hard but enjoying it. Also that he could really use more stamps. I've send him three books so he must be sharing with his buddies. He hopes everyone is good and told me about pir date but still don't know if he is g&g. I feel so much better. I'm surprised I didn't cry. Just felt the bricks come off my shoulders and poured myself a big glass of vino. Lol! He also sent a letter to his sis. It was short and sweet but he told her how much he loves and misses her and that was all she needed.
Great new on all the calls! Susan, I am so sorry you missed the call. I hope he can call you again real soon.
Gi, chin up girlfriend! I pray you get 10 all at once! That's letters and calls! Lol!
Momof1 & Janey , my son is going straight to pensicola too!
