Denise...no worries the address provided by the recruiter tends to be a bit different and is a temporary address, but those letters will get to your recruit.

Eileen we all know it is against direct orders...we are just choosing to deal with this in our own way...we are not making waves...we are not complaining...we are simply educating and taking care of the issue.

Eileen, I work with all the PIR groups and I can give you example after example of recruits being confronted by RDCs about various issues. They read these sites. It is a fact. They may have been instructed not to do it, but it matters not. My son's RDC new I was the leader of my PIR group when my son did not...and told my son...your mom is the "dawg" and he had no clue what the guy was talking about...we had one join our PIR group. So yes , in fact they are on these boards. These are public boards, that is why I teach you to be careful about what you say and how you refer to your recruit. In addition, in speaking with the guy who heads up the facebook page for the RTC he agreed it is also good practice in terms of learning ho to protect various information should it become necessary as sailors move out to the fleet. But, in answer to your question, you can ask Lydia who had a lovely run-in with one of the RDCs herself, Dianne, Jessica or me. Recently we had one recruit's mom post that everynight when he went to bed he was writing a little bit in a letter to her and the RDC approached him and told him to stop. He had read it here in one of the PIR groups. That is how I know!!

Eileen- I have also heard that they are not allowed on this site and that if they get caught they get in trouble but I don't think it is inforced. All I know is my daughter was in boot camp this summer. Her RDC made comments about her jeep and pink sunglasses. There is only one way he would have known about those, he saw the pics on my page. I will say he did not give her a hard time about it, just picking on her a little and making her wonder where he was getting his info. As soon as I got the letter from her I knew he had seen my pics. She had very nice RDC's and was a girl and in the performing div. I can imagine that some of the other RDC's may not be so "friendly" with info they find on here.

Dana- to get more info on the ribbons or to place an order just click on my name and it will take you to my page. On the left side click on add as a friend and I will send you all the info you need to place an order.

FYI_ I was watching the news tonight and they said that Great Lakes will be measuring snow in feet this week instead of inches. Good thing there is no PIR this Friday......

Penny, I know what you mean about being disappointed. My son was suppose to PIR on the 14th and found out we were the 21st instead. I only received the form letter and still waiting for something else. I haven't heard from him in over 3 weeks now! I want to hear from him so bad, I have heard about others being sick with the flu others having to have wisdom teeth out and getting sick. I just want to know he is ok. I am hoping to hear something tomorrow since nothing came today. I wish these RDC's would have a better understanding that this is the first time some of our kids are on their own and the Mom's just need to hear something sooner than later. Praying I hear something tomorrow, don't know if I can take this much longer.

WHEW !!! Now this has been some day. Grad date 1/28, nope, changed and graduating early to 1/21. Nope, changed back to 1/28. Whoops, two ship/div. mates mommas received letter with 1/21 just like mine. Too bad, they were sent erroneously and now it is back to the 28th ! Think I'm gonna start drinking. Way too much for any mother to deal with.

But now wondering how my son and the rest of those two divisions are going to feel when they learn they won't be graduating on the 21st after all? Not fun! Think they deserve something really great for that and I'm not talking more PT.

Wow! I've missed a lot of communication since yesterday.
Lala Ribbon Queen - The ribbons are GREAT! How can I get a couple made?
Lynn - Thanks for the setting information. I'll get that changed right away.
Cat - I'm really sorry to hear that you haven't received a letter yet, but we are here with you.
Lynn / JessicaB - Thanks for the PIR clarification. Fortunately for me I live close so it's only a short drive, but I want to make it on the right day. LOL! :)
Kathy / Penny - I guess we have to go to another group, but I like it here. Can I be a part of both groups? I feel like I've bonded here. :D

Make it a GREAT day ladies!!! Headed to the Post Office to send Letters 1, 2, and 3.
