Cat - they are saving the best letters for last. I promise it will be worth the wait :) Hang in there, Sista! I'm holding your hand electronically!

Just got a call from RTC. She advised me that the error w/ the graduation dates affected 2 divisons 057 and 058. Their PIR is 1/28, per her and will not be changed to 1/21. Now, w/ that said. I still am not making my flight arrangements yet. lol

Sorry Cat and Gina that you are waiting and not received anything for so long. Must be the RDC is being a little tough on them. Just my thought. So, where are the webcams when we need them ... the mouse in the corner!

I would just suggest to all of you with uncertain PIR dates to hold off on booking flights for the moment. Hotel would be ok, you can change that real easy if necessary. Seems as there is much confusion as to when everybody's PIR, plus you just don't know what else is going on. The Navy is only going to tell us very little, because honestly...they believe that the SRs aren't kids anymore. I would say wait to anything more until you get that first real phone call home. It's super hard, I know. But baby-steps for now. Hang in there!

Hey Cat! I'm doing pretty good, you holding up ok?

Kathy, our letters were postmarked the exact same day !!! So they were both given the information of one week earlier - being 1/21. Unfortunately, the RTC still has their dates set for 1/28 - it's no wonder we are going nuts!

This is exactly what my son wrote " i love you all. i cant wait to get some letters. please send more pictures. i think we'll be able to use the phone soon. its been tough but we're one week down, we can all make it through the rest don't worry. love (insert my son's name here) :-) I miss you !!! p.s. that day is a week earlier than it was supposed to be!" postmarked dec 2

Alisha - so your letter stated the 28th, right? And you haven't heard any more since then? And the recruit that said they might be graduating a whole week earlier, how did you hear that? Sorry, so many questions.
Comment by Penny_Nuke_MM2_NimitzNuke on December 6, 2010 at 3:55pm
At this time, we have no stinking idea what is happening. I've changed my flight back and forth and back again and at this time I don't trust a single thing they are saying. Kathy said (sorry Kathy if I'm speaking out of turn) she called in and they told her that graduation is on the 28th but her letter says the 21st and now they might have the RDC let his recruits call home to let us know what is the RIGHT date. Gimme a break - how much stress can we take...these are our kids, don't they know? lol Oh, my letter was dated 12/2/10.
