Placed a call in to the RTC ... don't think they like me any more. She is calling directly to the ship to get a real answer as to division 057 being moved up to the 1/21 grad date as per my form letter.

On the edge of my seat and please pass the alka seltzer, Kathy !!

that was me Dawn. Thanks for the info. My daughter is 13 so she would count as an extra ticket. I will wait it out and see. If not I promised her that he would record a message to her on my video camera

Someone on here said they were not able to bring their daughter to PIR because of Mom and Dad each getting two tickets (divorce situation). I was looking on RTC's facebook page and someone asked about tickets and kids... here is the reply from RTC, hope it helps: "Children 12 years old and younger do not count toward the four-guest maximum."

i am hoping to get my form letter today, but i feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride. You hear one thing, than another, then something else happens and I feel like I dont know if I'm coming or going. I went into detail w/ the Public Affairs office so she understood exactly where I was coming from so she didn't think i had a screw loose. She couldn't give me an answer on why the date would be crossed out and another written in. Is there any other way to verify this information? Another number, another contact? I called 847-688-2405 (and just spoke to the person that answered- her name was michelle)

Kathy, Thanks for making that call! Kat, I can't imagine getting that letter before one from your SR! We should all buy stock in Alka Seltzer!

As for changing pics and profile names... It was hard enough trying to keep track before, now I'm totally lost as to who is who! LOL ;o)

Thanks Codesmom. OMGosh Kathy, I was just about to call but thank you for jumping on that. Did you make your arrangements yet? I hope that we get a letter from our recruits real soon and have more clarification on what and when.
I did not make my travel plans yet because my travel agent that I always use told me to hold off a bit. There are regular flights out to Chicago almost every hour and you will definatley get on a plane for a reasonable price even if its three weeks before. I wont wait that long but at least unitl I hear from him.

I just called the public affairs office for RTC. This is what I was told. That letter is a form letter and everyone gets it - about the security. No worries at this time. I also asked about the PIR confusion date for those in ship 11 div 057. penny got her letter it had 1/28 but was crossed thru and 1/21 in it's place. The public affairs office said as far as all the information they have they are 1/28, and doesn't know why any of us would have gotten something different, but only our kids can tell us for sure, but she pulled the locator up and verified 1/28. SO NOW WHAT?!?!?!?

Cat - here is the number off the Recruit Training Commands web site; Phone: Public Affairs Office 847-688-2405, maybe they can help explain. No letter like that here yet.
