OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello Ladies!
I haven't been on in a couple of days but I wanted to share with everybody that I got my letters from Blaiant in the Mail!!!!! I received them on Friday and no words could ever explain the level of joy I felt. He says he is doing well...he says the food is actually good and I'm happy about that because he is a picky eater! lol
He says he will continue to press on so that really gave me comfort. We were all so happy to hear from him!! He told me Billy Blanks is there! Isn't that funny? I assume he's in doing the physical training. I hope everyone had a great weekend and lets continue supporting and praying for all SRs!

Hey Everyone! Anyone else from Colorado? I have a son in division 049 ship 07, he is the second of my kids to go to the Military. My daughter graduated from BC in the Air Force in October, needless to say, I have been an emotional roller coaster! My youngest is a Freshman in High School and things are quiet around our house!

Hope to meet some of you at PIR!

Kathy - I miss not hearing the video games going. Awfully quiet around here. Kinda of nice, but kinda sad.

I know the snow was enough to delay flights into O'Hare today. My boss is trying to get back from Japan and her flight was cancelled due to the snow in GL.
