CodesMom: yes, you are correct. Your sailor can purchase the piks/DVD and then either mail them to you or give them to you after PIR. Great idea on giving him a picture of the cell for Christmas!

Just an idea: what I plan to do for Christmas is to purchase the new cell phone my son has wanted for months and send him a picture of it... he won't get it until he gets out of GL's of course, but I thought it would be something to look forward too! I'll bring it to GL's so he can play with it, call friends etc. while on liberty!

Code said in his letter that their RTC said they will be performing for Admirals, which he said got him a bit nervous! I am putting $ in his account so he can use his debit card to purchase the pictures/dvd ahead of PIR. I thought I read that they can do that.

Momof1: The 900 divisions are the "performance" divisions. The recruits are chosen to be in them if they have a talent, etc. A special honor!

Thanks JessicaB Sailor Mom for the pic info, so should I transfer money into his account now, he has his debit card with him or do I wait closer to grad date?

I had a little fishy, his name was Tiny Tim
I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water, and ate up all the soap.
And when he was finished he went glope, glope, glope.

This is the fishy song...recruits sing this as a part of a "beating". They have to lay on the ground...lift their arms, legs and head. They sing the songs and move their legs and arms like scissors for a LONG, LONG, LONG, time....lol~~ Ask your recruits about it...they will be impressed you know the words!!

Now this is going to sound crazy to us moms...but the recruits kind of like getting their wisdom teeth out....they get pain killers, they get to sleep day in and day out for 2 or 3 days....its like a mini vacation at boot camp....lol!!!
