Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

DebBon: They don't give out passes....they go by the names your recruit puts down (4). And you are right...this group only has 5 divisions....so extra guests should have no problem getting into PIR (with proper ID).

Hello everyone, Wow CodesMom I can't believe you have gotten letters already. I came home from work today hoping that there would be at least one letter for me from my son but nothing. I guess I have to be patient. It's hard!!!
I'm surprised that we have a small graduating class. I also heard from our recruiter that we can bring extra quests with that they never turn anyone away. I think that maybe cause we are a small group that they would give us extra passes. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Even one or two extra would be nice.
Oh I am so thankful for all the support we can give each other here on N4M's I don't know how we would last without each other. I miss my SR so bad =(

We're not all crazy, just passionate!! You know they are going to know we're all N4M's!! I guess I'm 'crazier' than the lot...I send 2-3 letters/cards/newspaper copies, etc. per day...times that by 14 days! We are awesome Moms<3

Got two letters today!!! I cried!!! Husband thinks I'm nuts. I cried even more when I saw he wrote one to his little brother! and even more when I read it. Could not wait to post... they are starting to come... everyone hang in there, they are on their way! He has to have 3 or 4 of his wisdom teeth out... ouch! Other then that all sounds to be going very well!
