N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi ladies, I was wondering if you know if there are pictures from Thanksgiving from div 042. I've been looking everywhere but can't find them anywhere. Please help!

Thank you!

Anyone who's SR was adopted by the Sue H. Dufern's group (038 and at least one other division), they have posted additional pictures on their facebook page. :-) I found my SR!

ellen0502, your son is awesome!

This is a link to the face book page from the town of Wauconda that adopted out our sailor and 35 of his shipmates of div.#040 on thanksgiving day. Was so good to see him enjoying his day and having a good time. Hope this helps some of you get a glimpse of your sailor and how they spent their day.

Keep looking at the pictures from the RTC you never know, you may be looking at some appendage of your recruit. These are only two of many photos of my son from BC, A School, and on ship.

This is my favorite pic of my son at A School Graduation.

And the latest picture of him from the ship during "underway replenishment. I told him he managed to avoid the camera again, and out of 123 pictures he was in none of them. He said he was in one of the photos, and then pointed me to this picture.

Rolling laughter

ellen's son has been a sailor for a good while now...and she still can't find a pik of him where most of his face is not obscured!  Where's Waldo is a good description!  Hoping that all get more clear photos of their SRs before PIR!   You never know what "random" photos could appear on RTC FB!

Good Morning!

I copied the one of my SR and posted it on my FB page! Don't be embarrassed! Be proud! Those are some handsome boys!

Jrose, If I could "like" your post, I would. I love it!
8isenuff, he probably is hiding somewhere! There are a lot of SR's where you can't see their faces. We won't talk about how long I looked for M, and he's in the front! It's like Where's Waldo.

Still looking for my kid.  He wears glasses, you would think that would make it easier.  I still think he is hiding behind someone in the back row.  :-)
