OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I'll be leaving you now also...not going to post my "whole thing" as you all are doing great...but as I caught it on some past PIR groups...please remember that OPSEC and N4M Community Guidelines always stand. Thank you all!

God Bless you and your families! Merry Christmas and Blessed futures for your Sailors careers!

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to N4M's.  You have been a wealth of information and support!!  As Celia said, it really helped so much in preparing us and keeping us sane throughout the process.  What a special group, it has been an incredible blessing!!  Ashley arrived home yesterday for leave and goes back on the 31st.  It's so wonderful having her home.  We had a house full with the rest of the family here when she arrived yesterday, everyone is so proud and in awe of how their baby sister is all grown up :)  Have a blessed Christmas everyone!!!

Thanks Diannep, and everyone else; Celia fyi my son also went into Chicago which is why he wasn't around! He got his laptop just fine when he returned and he'll also be coming home on leave (not 100 sure when).  Thanks for all your help!

We had an amazing weekend at graduation and the celebration afterwards. We took our sailor immediately after the ceremony, and after picking up his pictures, which we had FedEx'd home. I felt really prepared thanks to Navy for Moms. We returned him to the base at 7:15 so he would have plenty of time to get back to his ship. His flight to Pensacola was not until 6:41 Saturday night. However, he arrived at Midway at 2:30 in the morning. He was told by the USO people he could leave, so we met him at the airport around 9:30 AM. We took the subway into the city and had a great time. He bought his new cell phone, we had delicious deep dish pizza and saw the "bean" at Millenium Park. He was back at the airport by 5:00 with plenty of time to spare before his flight. Many of the sailors who were scheduled to leave late on Saturday left for the day. He was told he could not leave in a car, but could use the subway, which is really easy. We used it all week in Chicago.

My son will be coming home on leave from the 22nd to the 1st. Thanks again to everyone here for their great advice!
