Angela - so funny, but my son didn't mention any of the stuff your son wrote about.  maybe between the two of us, we'll get the "whole" story!  My son also said he was assigned to be the Recruit Yeoman.  I looked it up...looks like a lot of paper pushing!

Actually I don't know if there is a 905 yet...I just assumed... but after LaLa explained it we just have to wait and see what they do!

I thinik why they jumped from 903 in the 12/02 group to 905 in the 12/16 group is because they are not having a PIR group for 12/09.  Just a guess....

yay, we got our form letter today. He's in SHIP 04/ DIV 020. PIR 12/16/2011. I'm so escited! Thank you everyone for all the information on this site...it's been very helpful. He wrote a short note on the back and sounds like he's doing ok. What a relief!

FTLW, you work here is never done lol. You do so much to help out. I sometimes think that you do not sleep :-)

NavyChief04- FTLW posted below what the official word is on extra guests for PIR. They usually make them wait in the visitor center until all guests on the list are in the PIR hall but in most cases the extra guests do get in. We took 4 extra guests with us and everyone got in. And, that was with 13 divisions graduating. So most likely they will get in just not guaranteed.

Received our sons letter today! Thank you Lord. He wrote on the envelope "Miss you all"! He is in Ship 11 DIV 017. He graduates 16 Dec. Does anyone know if more than 4 guests can attend? He had only 4 on his list.

How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?

A.

Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed.  PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.  All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.
