Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son arrived last Monday too. I'm excited to get home and check the mailbox. So what grad date did it say in the letter for division 21?

My son was writing to a friend who left a few weeks before and his ship had a name. Is there a difference between names and numbers? And yes, that note on the back was my moment to exhale. :) Just what I needed since today it has been a week since he left. He did mention that the food is "great" lol!!

Celia NJ - Since we now have a mom with a form letter confirm...I am guessing that they have used 04 as overflow.

Unless they made a boo-boo...no there is not a SPECOPS division. SPECOPS are 800 division. 900's are performing divisions.

Yes, stay here for now please if you are in the next TG and whatever other group you were on...most are on BC Moms for the beginning for support.
I do not know if PIR will be the week before Christmas on a Wednesday (the 21st) or the next week on the 30th.
RTC has stated that there will not be a PIR the week of Christmas. Christmas is on a Sunday and the end of the week is the start of New Years weekend. They did not have a PIR New Years weekend.
They DID have PIR on the Wednesday BEFORE Christmas last year though (not two years ago - so it is just a wait and see situation).
So, my Spidey-sense is leaning more towards the week BEFORE on the Wed or Thur...but never do this in the military:

ArNavyMom and I are in the same boat( pun intended) sons left for BC together and are in the same Div. Hate to leave this group. Still think I will keep a watch on this site too. We are, after all, family.
