For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

ArNavyMom - If you are division 021 you are going to be in the next PIR group as this one only goes up to 020. I think your recruit arrived on the 25th too? Stay here though for now and once you get your form letter to confirm then you will be sure. IF you are in the next PIR group would you consider being the creator?

Okay, first whoever updated the name...thank you!
Celia...and anybody else...ignore the R2012 if you get that from your recruiter...military fiscal year starts October 1, it is for the year.
I am going to say that he is DIv 19, the 019 from your recruiter.
SPECOPS have been housing in SHIP 04. So, either your recruiter received incorrect info or they have put recruits in there as overflow as there is not a SPECOPS div this TG. IF for some reason he WAS injured they would call you to let you know. So no news is good news right now.
We are going to have to wait for your form letter.

Hi everyone. I got the form letter today. My son shipped out last Monday. His ship is 04, Division 19. He wrote a quick note on the back. It was an amazing feeling hearing from him and getting his address/grad date :)

No the recruiter did not tell me, she told me that last week when she was waiting at the airport. She is 17 will be 16 in 12 days, but she has all 4 of her wisdom teeth still and they are impacted, so she was told they will be removing them ont he 5th day of her being there.

No, I haven't heard. Did she call you or did the recruiter call you with that info? My son is 26 and three of his teeth are all in? One was pulled out 5 years ago.

Celia, Do you know if your son needed to have any dental work? I know that my daughter is having her wisdom teeth removed and she will be in sick quarters for 2days

Now, I'm reading that Ship 06 is the RCU? Does anyone know for sure? What if the Division number is R2012 019? I read that the 4-digit division number means some type of holding? Can the recruiter get me more info?

My son's recruiter just said that my son's ship is the Arleigh Burke. According to FTLW's post about ship/division, that is the Recruit Convalescent division. That would mean he is either sick or injured. Would someone contact us if he was injured? How sick do they have to be to go to that unit? Is there a chance the recruiter has the wrong info??
