Got this from Facebook:

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command This week's graduating divisions just finished up Battle Stations last night so phone calls may be coming in anywhere from late morning through early evening today.

When I went on 12/2, I would say say dress very comfortably...we say for a few hours and I am glad I did not dress like I had planned (dressy and in heals) the walking wasn't to bad but I was veryyyyyyy excited...seems like it is going to be very cold in the a.m. Friday so dress warm...

Can't wait to do this again, soooo excited!!!!

dawn in MI

soon to be in Great Lakes for Division 019 PIR!!!!!

Shelli:  If he flies out on Saturday, then you have PIR Day with him.  But you can meet him at the airport on Saturday (very early morning), get a gate pass, and spend more time that way.  If they move over to GL A School, they do this right after PIR.  Then they have daytime liberty with you for the weekend usually.

Dress for PIR is a little bit of everything. I would suggest "nice casual".  But you will see all.  Just remember that your sailors will be in their finest...but also remember that there is a good amount of walking involved that day and that you will be sitting in bleachers.

Good morning, all!

Okay, I see that I need BC as well as SS card for the little guy. Lint brush, tide stick...how should we dress is another question. Casual, dress clothes...?

Hello moms. I need to catch up. Is there any news from 04/20? The last my SR told me was he thought they would only have Friday for leave and would have to be back on base by 8 pm that night. Does anybody know more about it? I have a room at Navy Lodge but not sure if I should extend the number of nights. Also, is there anything other than photo ID and parking pass that I should make sure we all have? I will go over the "things to bring" site again tomorrow, just want to make sure the most vital neccessities are with us. Should I have a birth certificate for my 8 yr old? All help greatly appreciated. I am so nervous and excited.
