New2Navy:  HOOYAH...and a Bravo Zulu ("well done").

HOOYAH is the war cry or battle cry of the United States Navy SEALS, but adopted by the other sailors too during bootcamp!  MCPON Rick West uses it alot and encouraged all of the sailors to use it.   "Ooorah" is used in the Marines; Hooah in the Army.

Congratulations all you 905 family members!  And thank you for sharing the moving moments your new Sailors went through when they changed their caps!!  I know you are SO proud and excited--like I hope to be in the next couple of days when we get OUR call!!  :)  Lori, TX

Yah for 905!  I just KNEW someone had to go last night...so glad that one division is done!  Congrats~to the first new sailors of PIR 12/16!

NavyChief:  We can post right here after they are finished BattleStations....but we just can't post ahead of time (on this board) what divisions will be going through next  You can private message any of that info.  What I tell you all to do is post here that you have a date for Div _#__ if anyone wants it.  They can private message you for the info.  We just can't have it on the public boards anymore.  It is possible that two divisions will go tonight and two more tomorrow night....OR.....all 4 tonight.  Either scenario can happen!  So phones available again tomorrow!

For those flying tomorrow and afraid to miss the I'm a Sailor call....please change your cell voicemail to greet your new sailor.  Ask that they call back and leave many messages since you may not be able to talk to them (unless they get a chance to call back again later...never a guarantee but possible).

Safe travel for those leaving tomorrow!

How long were the "I'm a Sailor" calls?
Comment by diannep on December 13, 2011 at 7:49pm

NavyMomma:   I would keep it if he is going to GL A School.  I believe you have to use that to get on base and walk a ways to sign him out when he gets liberty.  So keep it in a safe place!

Does this mean I can quit sitting by the phone and run the errands I need to run in order to start driving Thursday?
