Im right there with you NavyChief....havent slept much just want to get THE CALL :@))
Diannep ~ Thanks for the kind words. That is what I love about this site, no matter what we are going through as mom's someone has been there and can help! Maybe we just need a Caring MOM's website :-)! Can't wait until Friday! I wish we knew when they were going through BS and if my son has passed his run and everything. I am going on the old motto...no news is good news.
LoveMySailor: Don't worry...she is "good to go!"
NavyChief: Prayers for you...it is so difficult. I lost by my husband and brother...6 yrs apart...in Sept. My brother was MR. THANKSGIVING and that was the only time his family was down here during the year. So hard....my hubby was also a large part of the holidays...loved taking our sons to shop for Mom. Sons were 15 (sailor) and 17 at the time...we just kind of limped through that first Christmas...but did it. So I know it is hard...but just know...this will be the hardest one...but you will get through it. You never forget them during these special times, and your heart always aches a little, but joy comes in with other things in your life...like your SR almost being a sailor! Prayers that it will help you through!
Hang in there...I think this Friday will be such a huge HAPPY day for all of you! It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment....so so proud of them!
Good morning everyone, almost there! Congrats to the new Captain Cups winners and the mom's who received phone calls! I can' wait until Friday! My mom passed the end of July and I did not think how hard the holidays would be without her. Christmas was always so special to her. We went caroling with our church last night to 2 nursing homes and memories came rushing in and it was really hard for me. Then I started focusing on this week and how proud she would be of her grandson :-)! Wish she were going to be with us. Sorry about the doom and gloom morning message but I need to hear good news....so mom's start sharing your phone calls from your SR's :-)! Praying this week that "ALL" Divisions PASS EVERYTHING! I pray for safe travels for each and every family member traveling to Chicago! Can't wait to meet some of you or ALL of you :-)! Have a bless day!
she's still on it im sure, my SR put mama, brittany, justin, leah lol but he said he knows hes gonna have to put our first and last names
Oh, if he had her on the first list as "Sister" (my son did the same thing...Mom, Brother, Aunt, Cousin)....what makes you think he took her off when they revised the list---maybe he told you that? She may still be on there. But like I said, I don't think it will matter. She will be so glad she went!
Debbie: She should be able to get in. It is too late for him to add her name--but doesn't matter--. She will be arriving with you, correct? With ID, I don't think you will have any problem. She should be able to be seated when you are...this is a very small PIR group.
It would be me who would have to go get her since I'm the only other one attending. I don't know how she'd feel about standing outside alone until I can and got her.
Since she's only 15, she only has a high school ID, a birth certificate and a Social Security Card. Will she be able to get in through the gate since I'm driving?
