Sarge is great! Here he is:

Here's a quick rundown of both Meet and Greets:

Sarge:

5-10 pm at the Sundance Saloon.

FREE transportation from Springhill Suites, Marriot Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express, Residence Inn, Candlewood Suites and Crossland. All other local hotels for a modest fee.

Guest Speaker from the Base to provide info on where to eat, things to do, how to save $$.

FREE food starting at 7 PM….they also have a menu if you want to order something.

Sarge has lived in the area for over 30 years and knows it well.

Sarge has arranged with his friend Nick at Trattoria-Pomigliano in Libertyville for a FREE meal – ANYTHING they want – for your Sailor.

There is a DJ.

Plus, Sarge goes above and beyond the “call of duty” to help Sailors and their families. (He is the “go to” guy for Taxi (shuttle) service. Prices are great and again does more than he has too!)

Ramada:

6-8 pm at the Ramada.

Finger foods – Chips and salsa, veggies and dip, egg rolls, meatballs, maybe another and it could change. (This is what they had when I went. Sarge was not doing a Meet and Greet then)

Bar – or you can bring in your own soft drink or water. Those staying at the Ramada get a voucher for to free drinks.

Hostess provides a name tag and will come in and greet everyone and ask if anyone would like to speak.

BOTH events are open to everyone. There will be people there that know nothing about N4M’s. Invite them!

I'm not sure on the red lining...but my guess would be that you are getting close to crossing it! Lots of sports have a red line for penalties and such.

Good Morning!

Comment by diannep on December 4, 2011 at 9:19am

asmoed is "setback in training."  They are removed from their division...whether for illness, failure in something, or discipline.  Once they are doing better, they go back into another division in later PIR group that is at the same point in training that they were at when asmoed.  My son went through this.  They are threatened with that often while training...as a discipline.

Not sure about red lining?  Maybe FTLW knows the answer to that one?

Good morning all!

Lala Ribbon Queen ~ received the ribbons! Thank you much! Can't get the smile off my face :-)! No letter this week, praying they all are doing well! Everyone have a blessed evening!

Lala, Oh wow, what an awesome shot!  I bet that so exhilarating!  What an experience.

Didn't get a letter from my sailor this week which must mean he is studying and working hard I am assuming.  We're really looking forward to PIR, but since we're from south TX, I'm also a cold weather whimp and don't look forward to the cold up there!!  :)

Good morning all.  Here is some info:

To order division tshirts (that your SR's division designed), here's the link:

http://www.mwrgl.com/gen_info/rtc_graduation/div_tshirt_order_6_201...

They may even be able to get to you before PIR, but not sure.  May be too late for that.  There are phone numbers on the form if you need to call for info.

"Sarge" for transportation needs to/from airport and around GL.  He also hosts a MeetNGreet and is a wealth of info.  Loves the Navy families (retired military who has been in the area for 30 yrs).  Call or text him:  847-212-0246

BattleStations article.  Please be sure to check the info above in the discussion group about BattleStations as well.  They will be starting soon for this group. I still need a date from you all for 905 if you talk to your SR.  Please private message it to me.  I will then send out the schedule to all.
