I think Div 019's short calls are because they're getting into trouble alot. Stupid stuff like not recognizing officers correctly and saluting wrong. They all have to step it up!
NavyChief - my understanding is that everyone gets adopted on Thanksgiving. NO ONE is left behind.
I think I will encourage him to seek out medical attention if he can't keep up with the runs. I would think the RDC would notice anyway. A couple of days on light duty would probably be all he needs. That and an icepack!
Celia: They would give him time to heal his pulled muscle, so the worst would be a "setback (asmo)" in training. But light duty/SIQ may be all he needs and he would then remain with his division.
Celia: The shorter calls are usually just a matter of time they have for all to make them. Each division is different. Hoping that your SR feels better soon, poor guy!
Good morning, all!
NavyChief04 Ship 11 DIV 017
That was a good note. Was very helpful and insightful for me. Thanks.
NavyChief - my son said he didn't want to go to medical again. He went for a fever. He has shin splints, he think he has a pulled calf muscle and he said "bruised" kneecap. Can't imagine how he's going to keep up the running like that. Should he tell someone? I think he's afraid of be turned back.
I hope my son gets to get off base a little while on T-day. I know a call home would make him feel good :-)! Wow these weeks are flying by...at least for me. He had 2 wisdom teeth pulled, same as me when I went through bootcamp :-(. He sounded like it wasn't that bad. They broke my jaw getting mine out and I ended up with dry sockets! The Dentists are good there they really take good care of you as well as the medical staff. For those that have children going through dental/medical issues...they are in good hands! Plus their Company Commanders will make sure they are ok. I was blessed with good CC's and it makes a difference. Keep your children prayed up and they will be ok. Blessings to everyone, today is Thursday so "letters, letters, letters......" can't wait to get home! Everyone have a blessed day!
It's just dinner and a day out relaxing and spending time with his shipmates. They don't go alone...at least two are together, even if it's with a family. They get to watch some tv, make phone calls and get off that base. He shouldn't stay there alone.
