Today is Week 3 - Day 1 for Div 019...hopefully we will start getting phone calls today! Fingers crossed and hoping for lots of calls!!
Oh my goodness, Lala. That is awful. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
I hope everyone had a great day. :-) It was a crazy day for me, I had to sub in a 1st grade class, so many teacher around here are sick that I was called by 5 schools wanting me to work today. Then this evening my husband and I had date night YAY, we went to a fundraiser concert for the local Children's hospital and saw Casey James, Josh Thompson, Lee Brice, Thompson Square, Sunny Sweenie, and Kellie Pickler. It was awesome. Lee brice has a new song getting ready to be released that is military based. It is called "I drive your truck". It was so good and brought tears to my eyes. So be watching and listening for that one. Then when we were on our way home we got a call that the police were at our house. A drunk driver took out our mail box and 4 others and did some property damage and then landed on the neighbors porch. We are just thankful that everyone was okay. What a day...
Jajajo - You got a real letter from your SR, but not form?
Make sure you write and ask for the password for the gate pass.
HmmmmI know another person hasn't r'cd the form letter either...what's up?
I DO know of one mom where it took a long time because the recruit addressed it incorrectly and it was returned to him and he had to resend.
When I referred her to PAO, they told her to contact her recruit. BUT it is worth a try, right!? You never know...
Oh yes, diannep, it is 2405, that was a typo. Thank you for catching that. That's what I get for not rechecking my post and trying to type without my glasses on. lol
LoveMySailor: Is there anyone else who would have received the form letter? Only one can be sent out. That is important for many reasons....ship/div number/PIR date and password for parking pass for PIR. You can try calling Public Affairs---847-688-2405---but they may tell you to wait to hear from your SR and ask who the form letter was sent to. They won't have that info. 4.5 weeks seems like a long time to not receive it.
Oooops! Just realized that Betsy posted the same info below! Sorry, Betsy! Well, at least you all know that we N4Moms veterans agree on our info! :-)
Betsy, I think the Public Affairs number is 847-688-2405, not 2408. That's the number in my form letter.
Lovemysailor, I would call the recruiter as Jazzymom suggested but also call RTC and explain that you haven't received your form letter yet. You could still get it, but it's important that you get the information in the form letter if you intend to attend PIR. Is there a possibility that your SR may have sent it to someone else? You will need information in the letter if you plan to go to PIR. There is a password in the form letter that you will need in order to obtain your gate pass for RTC. Recruit Training Command's phone number is 847-688-2408
