Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by CLAMOM on December 15, 2011 at 7:54pm: Not going to make it to the Meet and Greet!!! The devil has tried to pull out all his stops to keep me from getting here....But I'm Here!!!!! Left my wallet in NC so my mom had to next day it to me here at the hotel. Needless to say All of my credit cards and money is in my wallet so they gave me Pure hell at the hotel because I didn't have it. So my mom had to turn around and wire me money to cover 1 night stay!!!!! UGH!!!!!! So discusting right now!!!! Going to bed!!!!!

He found a guy on the RTC website somehow and the guy was like yeah some lady keeps posting about stuff from the navy for moms website - guess who the lady was!! OOOPS!! Looking forward to meeting lots of families tonight and tommorrow ! This is so exciting!

Comment by diannep on December 15, 2011 at 3:55pm: Sailor rides back with you on the shuttle to the hotel...usually for free. Then if you don't have a gate pass, you have to drop him off at the RTC front gate when returning him from liberty, rather than being allowed onto the base to drop him off.
