Yes...there are now two M & G's.
Sarge just started doing his a month or two ago. The Ramada has been doing this for families for...forever I guess?! It is simple and they will invite everyone to come up and introduce themselves. There will be lots there who don't even know N4M's exists...so guess who got up and spoke? Only the N4M's ladies...oh and a Sailor who was on our PIR group...his gf was going through BC! We all "knew" each other! I wonder what they thought about us?! (If I had had more presence of mind I would have let them know about N4M's.) The hostess will make you a name tag with your real last name, state and division number on it. Either write your N4M name or make seperate tags with it on it.
Sarge's will have a speaker and they will talk about tips for dining, driving, sightseeing, etc. Some want this and some don't as they feel it could be sensory overload! They've already made plans by then and don't want to get more info...just depends on what you like. But you could still go and just not worry about that part. There is music and dancing too. I need to get some reports from moms...Sarge is a great guy from what we here...no complaints ever and glowing reports on his taxi service...always does more than just get people to where they need to go.
Some go to both...just depends on your time etc. The Ramada is from 6-8 and Sarges is from 5-10. PIR is early as far as getting on the shuttle or in the car line but most of us can't sleep anyways! LOL
Thanks Celia...I'll add the flyer etc. There will be some info about Sarge's taxi service there too...but I'll post it here also.
You can call Sarge anytime with questions. Texting would probably be a good idea first as he is busy. He answers promptly. Sarge – 1-847-212-0246.
He also owns several taxis (This is how we originally came to know him on here!) and lives in Gurnee, IL. The BEST taxi service around with the most reasonable rates. Also, above and beyond the regular lines of “service”. Sarge’s drivers only charge $90 from Milwaukee and Midway. Only $52 from O’Hare. This is the cab cost, NOT per person. Other companies have been quoted from $96 (O’Hare) and $130$185(Milwaukee and Midway).
I think RTC just boo-booed (gasp) on the 900 DIV. Or who knows...maybe they wanted the even numbers together.
Guess what? They boo-boo-ed on the website about it too! I called in the AM yesterday about it. They had 905 listed twice. Once in TG 05 and then also in training group 06 along with 904. When I called they almost started answering me directly when I asked which belonged where but caught themselves.
I asked about the 900 divisions.
" It should be...Do you have a recruit in this division?"
No.
"Okay...we'll update the site."
Thank you!
So that is another lesson in OPSEC for me...even something that seems to be inconsequential...is probably a "release of information".
Does anyone know if you can get ahold of sarge through email or something? I would like to get an estimate on cab fare from the train station to the Ramada for my Dec 2 PIR and then I will needhim again on the Dec 16th one!
$$$$$$ Don't want to get ripped off and I heard great things about him!
