thanks! and ya, im ready to sign up for the world's toughest job-being a military wife! but all will be worth it since at the end of the day ill have my man. but yeah, im pretty nervous but excited to the unknown! :) its just within the 7 days that he'll be here ..we gotta get a marriage license, get married and do lots of paperworks, not to mention telling our families! in my family i was the only girl, and his family treats me like their baby..lol..hope it goes out well too. cause he said its the only thing hes looking forward to that keeps him going!
It was so good to get a call this week. R said that they were not expecting it and that made it extra special. Although the news about the division trouble and possible setback was not good, he seemed pretty happy about the two flags they earned this week (and the phone call). I guess one flag was for their barracks inspection and the other was for most everyone passing the PT. Way to go Division 031!
awww i hear you on that! what did he said about the trouble? i couldnt understand what C was saying bec. he was mumbling his words bec. he was sooo upset and even broke down, he said he's been doin his very best to pass everything so he get to come home for xmas..but the "trouble" happened..and they might be set back :(( can u pls/ fill me in on the specifics? thanks a lot suzanne! :)
Nina, I am not sure how much is appropriate to say on a public forum. I would be happy to tell you what he said in a private message.
i already accepted ur friend request! thanks so much in advance :)
Suzanne...thank you for share this info, my son didn't mention anything about the flags that they earned. He told me about RDC saying the all going to be hold, very upset about. I know they going to do fine. Again thanks!
Hi my son is in this division, wish I had joined this sooner. I did hear about the trouble but not about flags. My son has pretty much been sick since arriving. I was wondering if anyone had trouble emailing the travel directions, I've had to do it 3 times & do they send a confirmation. My son called this past Saturday upset because his name was on a list so I emailed the map quest directions again not sure what's going on.
Nanny,
Welcome to the group! My son has been sick the entire time, too. I guess they all have the same bug.
I did not have trouble emailing the itinerary. It may help to copy and paste the address just in case - scheduling.office@navy.mil. I sent the itinerary in an email and attached copies of the flight reservations on 11/23 and received a confirmation from rtcscheduling.office@navy.mil on 12/3. Since the reply address is different, you may want to try sending to both. Also, you may want to send the information in the text of the email. This way, even if they have trouble opening your attachment, you can be sure that the information has been transferred.
Will you be driving far? I am really starting to worry about the weather for travel.
Hi I will try that. I have read that others have had the same problems. Then on the facebook page of the Navy it said you may or may not get a confirmation. But thank you I will try your suggestions. We will be coming from western Ky, about a 7hr drive in good weather. LOL I hope the weather breaks too. It is suppose to snow this wknd here & get down to 8 at night. I saw where Great Lakes -1 i think Mon night. I guess there is no chance of my son getting over whatever it is.
Any word on what our div is doing this week? I saw that another division is doing the gas chamber and weapons this week.
I have received no word on that but would love to know.
no nothing here too! :( its kinda makin' me sad and worried though. since he left ive been getting mails every thursday routinely.. but today havent got any. all throughout the week, hopeful to get one tomorrow or saturday :(
