Ash: ya. I want him there when our little girl is born. Plus, he says that he really needs me for support - S hates to be without me (he's a worrier when it comes to me lol). Still looking at apartments. Msg me if you found any nice places there in GL.

Mary: I think counting down the days in letters is a great idea. :)

An idea that I am doing when I write J a letter. On the outside I have numbered ALL of my letters.. 1 - I am on letter 18. Also.. I write the date on the start of the letter as well as the time on the countdown clock. That way he can countdown with me. And its a little encouraging to him cause by the time he gets it 3-5 days have passed already... making time help seem to go by faster.

Ash: I'm glad that I have tricare again bc I did not love my rediculous co-pay with bluecross blueshield. Hubby set us up on standard instead of prime so I can continue to see my Obgyn until I move. I think I may change it to prime though - not sure, so I'll ask the hubs considering I'm having baby in great lakes.
But ya, I'm gna get the anchors aweigh hoodie. :)

Not sure if any of you have seen this, but at the navy exchange online they have PINK navy apparel. Soo cute. They even have cute outfits for babies/kids. :) however to access the site, you have to be a military dependent.

Hi everyone, the boys from our town were told by their recruiter here that they would be able to work during their leave, so they left for bc expecting to be able to do that. Thanks for the heads up that they might get phone privilege tomorrow. Iwas planning yard work and will have to keep my phone attached!

I too have read mixture regarding working with the recruiter. I will ask ours and let you know what he says. I can't believe all the comments about the handwriting. My sons has never looked so good. When I got the first form letter I got all choked up and said to my husband, "look at how nice his writing is" thinking he did it for me as I'm always on him about it. What his mom couldn't make him do the Navy has. hooyah

I just ordered the book Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Can't wait for it to get here!

He is volunteering AFTER A School for the time.
Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on November 12, 2010 at 10:04pm
Mary, is he positive that his volunteer time will count? I'm just asking because we were told, on here, that they wouldn't be able to do that until after they finished A school. I had talked to my son's recruiter about it, but I am still waiting to hear what the Chief in his office had to say about it.
