I received my first letter from my son today. He left on Oct.27. He was very upbeat and is doing fine. It was such a relief to hear from him.

Thank you ladies. I have asked my son about it in letters as well so I guess I will just have to wait. I am just wondering as far as reservations for graduation. I guess I can go ahead an make them for a day after grad. Won't hurt any.

Thanks Kona. I my son left on the 27th. I got the box and the form letter but nothing else yet. I know I will get one soon. Is the leave thing that they have been talking about for our grads true?

I am not positive but when my daughter was at bootcamp and there was a holiday they got to write an extra letter and send it the next morning. So maybe you all will get aletter from you SR enext week. My sailor left on Tuesday before memorial day and she got to write a letter. It was very cool because she hadn't even been there a week. We had that letter before the form letter. Her RDC was very good about letting them write so I really hope all of you get a letter very soon. :-)
