OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Just saw a FB post from another mom whose son just shipped on Nov 1st and is also ship07 div036 - so it looks like they have been waiting on enough people to form the division. If when I get an actual letter I am in the wrong place I will move along:) But I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will still PIR 12/22

He call me today to let me know he have five days of liberty, he can take more but then he will have to make up those days and he don't want to do that. I complete understand but he wants to come home for those days and of course I take anything. I don't have to do anything for him they will take care of everything, they get discounts for the ticket. Now that I know for sure that information, I'm looking to make the arrangements for the trip for the 12222010. Yupi!

Mary, sorry I misread that. I thought you meant moving to A school, not moving After A school. Oops!
