Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

diannep......Thanks for the info, that was my guess when I saw the videos of the months of fall/winter.

Janet.....I'm happy for you, what a relief.

Now just waiting for a call or letter. My son is soooo no a writer that when we talk Saturday he told me he receive my questionarie and Wednesday and nothing and tomorrow is Thursday no mail so may be Friday but I knew it. My only hope is just the calls but is ok. I'm not used to it, some days are better than others but I'm more calm knowing that just after this weekend is 3 more weeks.

yay. my husband called me today. 30min. :) says he's buying his ticket on dec 1st & will send me the info so i know what time to pick him up. also, he says for me just to stay in san antonio, bc it's already 16 degrees there and doesn't want me flying just to be there for one day. haha.

Unless they are somewhere hot all year round then they get special permission to wear whites year round. Like in Hawaii.

Rose: They changed from the white to the blue uniform in Oct. They will change back to the whites in the spring. It is done "Navy-wide." The Blues are their fall/winter uniform; the Whites their spring/summer one.
