Sweetgen: yes; they can leave after PIR. Just don't make any travel arrangements until you hear from your sailor. My hubby's gna be in GL for a school, too. You should join that particular A school group for ETs and FCs. ;)

Hello! Does anyone know if Sailors can leave after PIR? My fiance is gonna be at GL for A school and I was just wondering if they can leave after that since it's like 3 days before Christmas.

Woot I got a letter! Let me give you all the highlights of what was told.

" I didn't get a call yesterday, the little kids here don't know how to be quite."
He is STG and his A school is in Great Lakes. He found that out last night. We were told SanDiego. There is one person near his bunk also STG.. he told me the last name but I don't say it here. J knows Nancys son, so that is good since we are in the same division. They bunk close to each other. The food is alright. The says he thinks they put something in it cause he can't poop. LOL Good variety and lots of fruit. He said the mat is hard and uncomfortable. They get to start writing daily and send it out on Sundays. Also there is another SR with his last name so they have to check their laundry. LOL J said he looks like a young Mike Tyson.

Lynn thank you so much. It is nice to have someone that has already been through this supporting us. I will try the funny gesture to my son. I am sure that we both need it now. I am so thankful to have this site. Thank you to all of you for the support. God Bless and have a wonderful Wednesday. Because of you I know that I will. :)
