Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 043 and 044.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Some fun jokes I printed out for my SR. He loves comedy and I love to see him smile. Use them if you like them! :)

that you rickysgirl I will be printing these out

no problem! :) Anything to make our SRs smile!

Just got off the phone a little bit ago. Did anyone else receive a phone call?

yahhhh...got a phone call...and not a 5 minutes one this time :)

I know! We talked for 20 minutes and it was perfect. I can't wait to see his face and hold him!

glad to see that 2 of you got phone calls but I did get another letter today.  She said div 043 is always getting in trouble; therefore no phone calls yet for them :( Her letter was dated 23 Nov and post marked on the 26.  She said that next week they would be shooting 9mm pistols.  She also said that she got a job as "ship's staff" which means she pretty much cleans the ship every day.  She said her job is boring but better than nothing.  Has anyone else from div 043 heard from their loved one?

My son is Ship 11 Div 043....he was actually able to call and it lasted 18 minutes...I tried to talk so fast so I could get all the information I needed...he kept insisting that he was not going to get leave after PIR...but, maybe because everyone is going to different places for A school they didnt want to confuse anyone.  I told him not to argue cause Mom's always right :)

I found out over the weekend that my daughter did make a phone call to her boyfriend on Thursday.  Glad she was finally able to make a phone call just wish it had been to me.

I'm kind of hanging out until I get my daughter's new PIR date, but that might not be for a while.  She is doing therapy to try to remedy her condition.  She got to call (I was at work) & talked very briefly to her dad...that's how we found out.  So for those of you who have not received any letters or phone calls remember....no news is good news.  If they become injured, sick, etc. &/or their PIR date changes, they will get to call just to update you about that.  She was the po in charge of the incoming & outgoing mail for her division, so I don't know if she is still able to do that.  They may have to train someone else, so your mail may be slow coming & going....I apologize if that's the case.

Thanks I was wondering when we should stop sending things. I talked to my SR on Saturday she said they are doing good and that she passed her personel inspection and they had the weapons inspections and she passed that too, I guess she redid her PT and she took almost a whopping 2 min. off of it , she said she just kept running this time , I guess she was mad cause she missed it last time by 8 seconds. She said she likes it there and doesn't regret her decision. That makes me feel so much better. I'm just looking forward to seeing her.

Hi ladies! I have some cards I am sending to my SR for him to hand out to all the recruits in his division (044). I have quite a few and should be getting more this week. Just wanted to show you what your SRs will be getting from some wonderful children here in Vegas. The cards turned out so adorable and hopefully they bring a smile to their faces this holiday! :)
