~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

Will our "Sailors" get to leave with us immediately after the graduation ceremony or will they have to check out somewhere first?
Just printed my gate pass. Big smile! :)
@MartiMar - It is their "hell" week so they are incredibly busy with inspections, test, inspections :) My boyfriend said they won't be back at the ship much so I am not even expecting letters this week because of it, but still I can't help but hope for the best.
Good Morning Ladies. Some of you have reported me to that your SRs are doing BattleStations on Christmas Eve night, finishing on Christmas Day (it is an overnight drill). I will not mention divisions here as we are not allowed to. But...that date is very bizarre. For several reasons:
They will not be finished by the time that they could be adopted out for Christmas Day (I understand they have to be picked up between 8 and 9 a.m.) They usually finish around that time and then have their capping ceremony, and sometimes it is even later.
And, they will not have slept since early morning the day before and will be exhausted.
So I'm asking that any of you who have dates that you received from your SRs, please friend request them to me. I'm trying to figure this out and get a schedule going here. I had figured that they could actually go the night before (Sunday) ...or....on Wed night. Thanks, ladies, for letting me know!
Remember, please don't post dates on here with division numbers. We are trying to honor RTC's request that we do not disclose when a particular division is going through. Thanks! Private messaging is fine.
Glad you are feeling better, Lala!
Ingrid: I just sent you a friend request with BattleStations info for 039/040. Don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away. Just read the info!
Also, go to the 039/040 discussion group above in the Discussion Forum. Hit Last Reply and it will take you to the last page of the discussion. DaytonaBeachMom's letters are towards the top of that page.
I am trying to find out info from DaytonaBeachMom. You posted check out the Ship 03 discussion about on letters you posted from your son but I can't find that posting. My son is in 03/040 and I have not heard from him in over 2 weeks. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Ingrid
grayiiis - check out the ship 03 discussion above - I posted my son's letters I received yesterday with all the things they have been doing hoping to help some of those who do not get "newsy" mail. He finally wrote a letter that had some info in it - he does not realize how desperate we all are for info!!
I am so sorry I have been MIA from this site and facebook for several days. I have been really sick and trying to do as little as possible so I could feel better before my Sailors come home for Christmas. I am feeling a little better now and I am going to do a little last minute shopping and then get back home and get busy working again :) i hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. My heart is still very heavy for the loss of all these children and their teachers and all the families.
