Tammy: Thank you for the music. It is an awesome addition to our discussion group.

CJ'sMom: My prayers are with your MIL and family. I think that it was a good choice to not tell Collin. He has enough on his plate right now and can't do anything about this situation except to worry.

I am so looking forward to PIR - We had a call last night - Collin's grandmother (my MIL) had a stroke yesterday. We are not telling Collin at this time. She is stable but her mental capacities are confused and some what shakey. Hope for no more strokes till after basic.

Hey all today I saw divisions 9 and 13 marching along...you would be surprised where a handicapped woman in a scooter gets to wait...lol!! And listen to how cool this is in the Package A of pictures there is a picture of the actual barracks where your recruit has been living...sort of equivalant to taking a picture to the college dorm...I thought it was neat. Anyhow, these divisions looked great. They were marching instep, following their cadence, moving quickly but their little noses were definitely red. Have a great weekend. Soon it will be your turn for PIR!! Hang in there!!

I got a call from my son today...it was sooooo NICE to talk to him. He sounded so good and we got to talk for over 30 minutes. He says he is passing all his tests without any problems and he is just ready to graduate and get to A school. He really likes his RDCs. He says he really likes the breakfasts there, but not so much the other meals. The recruits that aren't being adopted are going to this place (can't remember the name of it, something like Ricky's Place) anyway, it's like a "chucky cheese" for navy recruits - video games, mcdonalds, taco bell, pizza hut. I feel bad that we can't go, but he reassured me it is OK and would really be stupid to spend that kind of money to just visit for a day when it's only 8 days before graduation. He sounds so responsible.
